Today I was very surprised. Last month I submitted my photography in the Veterans National Art competition and today was the showing.
Happily I took 1st place in the Black and White category and 2nd place in the Color category.
I want to share in this moment with those who visit this blog.

I imagine that future anthropologists will ponder over the curious rituals of our cultural and think us superstitious, backward barbarians as we have of past cultures.

Narrow road
This haiku is a tip of the hat to Basho’s “Narrow Road to the Interior.” This book is a travel diary of one of Basho’s many traveling tours of Japan. His walks yielded much inspiration for his haiku.
